111th Infantry, Regimental Color. Composed of men from Erie, Warren, Crawford, Mercer, and Elk counties, the 111th was organized in the fall of 1861. In late December, 1863, most of the men re-enlisted. The regiment mustered out of service on July 19, 1865. Little is known about this regimental flag.

Composed of men from Erie, Warren, Crawford, Mercer, and Elk counties, the 111th was organized in the fall of 1861, and received their first state color on March 1, 1862 from Governor Curtin. In late December, 1863, most of the men re-enlisted. A second state color was presented on February 26, 1864 and was carried by Sergeant Foust throughout the rest of the regiment's engagements. The regiment mustered out of service on July 19, 1865.
